Meet the Founder

Joseph Wheatley, PhD
I’m a scientist turned startup operator and founder - passionate about helping ambitious life science and technology companies move faster, achieve more, and turn ideas into impact.

After completing my PhD in bioengineering, I jumped straight into the startup world, working across every corner of a VC-backed biotech - from lab research and data analysis to operations, hiring and strategic projects. As Chief of Staff, I supported the company’s scientific and operations teams alike, driving impact wherever it was needed most. I’ve since built and scaled my own ventures, including the sports tech platform Clubbie, giving me first-hand experience of the challenges founders face when turning ideas into impact.

Through Lewis-Wheatley Consulting, I now partner with founders to deliver hands-on support across Research, Operations, and Talent - helping companies generate insight, build structure, and hire the right people to grow.
